Davista is a small but high-achieving design company that offers a very personalised service.
We define ‘good design’ in terms of being good listeners – and we’re known for being able to produce just what a client asked for.
We offer quality design services to cover all your renovating, building, or urban design requirements. We’re happy to work on all aspects of your project – from site selection, through preliminary concept designs to full working drawings (we have a name for highly readable and well-detailed plans!).
We can assist with everything from resource consents, to co-ordinating consultants such as engineers and surveyors. Our services can be as simple or complex as you require.
Davista has strong relationships with major local building companies and developers such as Generation Developments, and Classic Builders. 
Call to arrange a meeting to fully discuss our services and fees. We don’t charge for an initial consultation, and we also like to provide a written quote before starting work. We will also re-design sketch plans if required at no extra cost.

Choosing an Architectural Designer
Know who you are dealing with...
The national professional body that represents architectural designers is called Architectural Designers, or ADNZ (INC). Colin Davis, the director of the company is a full professional member of ADNZ (INC).
ADNZ lays down ethics and guidelines for its members. Members, for example, must fully inform their clients of all fees and costs at the earliest possible stage.
ADNZ’s website - www.adnz.org.nz – also has a guideline on fee scales, noting that the  complexity of the building, or parts of a building, may have considerable impact on the value of fees charged. 
The body’s ethical guidelines include that members should only undertake commissions ‘within their area of expertise.’
